That's fine! I'll just keep playing around with it. ^^ And that isn't what I meant by the layers though...I mean, well, you know in PS when you vector, right? The vectored layers can still be messed with, with the pen tool. But once you rasterize them, then they're just like regular layers. When you open a .psd file in SAI, it apparently rasterizes them, so all my vectored parts are no longer how they were, lol. It's ok. XD It's too late about it now!
I need to do a bg, but I'm stuck as usual. Any ideas? Or should I just do a mesh of blue stuff like in the original scan?

Are the brushes that come with SAI when you first download it all that you can have? Or are there places to download more? Also, is there something like a smudge tool...or is there only the blur tool? I'm trying to work with it, lol, but things aren't going too well. XD Also, I didn't know it'd rasterize all my layers when I opened my psd in it! ;__; So my vectored layers are rasterized now. I guess it's ok, but I totally didn't know. D:

I downloaded SAI, and I've been experimenting with it. :) It's a cool program! I really like how the brushes look. Here's a new WIP...I just fooled around with highlights some more, and I smoothed things out. I'm thinking of smudging some of the black outlines?? I'm not sure. ~__~' I might've made it look worse now, lol.

So you say to mostly just add more highlights and shading? And should I add more colors? Now I'm not sure. Lol, cause you said to play with the colors, but then you said not to touch anything. O__o I worked on it a bit more today; worked on his jacket...and then I'll need to do the bg and fix his hair. ~__~

Thanks! :) I'm glad you like it so far! Lol, I know his hair needs some work. >.< But I don't know what to do! What do you think it needs? What do you think I should use or do more of in Photoshop? I changed the colors just a tad, but I know I still need to clean up the lines. I'm thinking of erasing some of the rough sketchy lines I have and just refining it some more...but I don't know if that'll be enough!

Then I create a layer on top and just paint away! I use standard brushes, changing colors where needed, and then I just smudge. SMUDGE a lot.
